I know this might be old news for a lot of you but didn't see it posted on the site. Basically if you are going on a Virgin Holiday and book your Universal tickets through them then they throw in
bit more from elsewhere offer can only be used once 2 days after arrival.
Arrival at theme park has to be at 7.30 am only No exceptions. Get escorted to 3 broomsticks for complimentary breakfast and drinks with free gift. Then at 8.30 get to go on the rides before other guests arrive at 9.00 Virgin guests need to have booked both holiday and park tickets from Virgin Holidays to qualify. Valid from 28 May 2010
From what I've read, it free parking, early park entrance where you have to endure/enjoy the welcome and heres what we are trying to sell you meeting. Over to HP world for breakie and gift and then an early start to queue for the rides behind the hundreds of other people who also have the early start as they are staying in the Universal Hotels.
Virgin are still reasonable for their 2 park 7 day tickets at £76 and £71 for kids, although others are cheaper.
Not a bad offer I suppose. Personally I can't justify to myself 5 park tickets to only really see HP world as having been to universal last year feel I've done it for a while.

Thanks for posting this. Interesting that the offer is valid for people travelling from the 28th May 2010. Is this a hint towards a possible opening date?

We never ever have bothered with Welcome Meetings as always consider them a waste of time. However, last year (we usually stay on Universal) their welcome meeting was at the Hard Rock with a free breakfast. So for a change we thought we would go for the free breakfast and also query them about the parking at RPR (Virgin guests were supposed to not be charged).
The breakfast was lovely and there was NO HARD SELL at all. The Virgin Reps were really good, we just listened to a 10 minute talk, then they came round all the tables, once we said we had all the tickets we needed that was it, they just offered help if we needed it and gave us a few leaflets. On top of this they confirmed the hotel should not be charging us so saved on $15 a day parking for our holidays. Then they gave us a voucher for a free meal at Citywalk for anytime over the holiday. We choose to try Margaritaville. We had an excellent meal here (cost $100 roughly for the 4 of us with drinks), totally free. The menu was from about 4 choices. We are looking forward to going again for a meal this year.
We are going with TCD this year and if they are using the Virgin reps we will have no hesitation about going again. Free breakfast and free meal for 10 minutes of our time when we were there already.

This park is whole ready to be inaugurated it is situated at the Universal Orlando Resort. In Orlando,
there are actually two Universal theme parks: there's Universal
Studios, which is based on film and television, and right next door is
Islands of Adventure, which will become the home of The Wizarding World
of Harry Potter.

Thanks for the info daisey. Wizarding World will eat into some of the current LostContinent area. Listen out for an upcoming Eye on Orlando where we discuss Island of Adventure and its rides, shows and attractions.
